Prayers for AI 171 victims!(A Healer’s Diary)

Published in The Asian Weekly, 772 ( 20th to 26th June,2025)

As with any incident, there are uncountable after effects from gossip, rumor mongering, blame gaming, pitying, feeling sad, feeling angry, shock, disbelief, conclusions, opinions and a lot more as each one expresses their own version of affairs and judgment partly influenced by social media and news channels and there are very few who actually sensitize with those affected in a helpful manner.

As the only way many people could help after the recent plane crash at Ahmedabad was by offering prayers and healing rather than gossip and indulge in wasteful talk and energy. Lotus Healing Seva Group stood up once again doing what they do best – by offering prayers along with the reiki healing energy and forgiveness with the souls of those that were perished in this unfortunate incident.

The group members have started the Grief Trauma Healing for the loved ones and witnesses and rescue aiders almost immediately after learning of the AI 171 plane crash and also sending healing energies to the souls that left so suddenly. Besides the healing energies of distance reiki, not even knowing the names of all victims to begin with (their hearts in the right places obviously) the group members have also been doing the “Nirvana Shatakam” chanting on a daily basis.

  1. I feel immense sorrow for all the passengers who died in the Ahmedabad plane accident. No one had imagined that the plane which had taken so many beautiful dreams with it would have such a horrific end. My condolences are with their families. This is a huge tragedy for the entire human society. Despite all my efforts, I am unable to get that scene out of my mind. There were small children also in that plane. I don’t know how many would have cried, how much they would have suffered. I pray to God to give peace to all of them. Such an accident should not happen to anyone in future.

    1. I agree with your sentiments. We are all terribly shaken by this incident and it is difficult to not think about it. Just like you pray to God for peace to the souls, many of us doing the same, yet the grief is immense. Humanity rises at such times when you feel the pain for others not known to you by any relationship other than humanity.

      1. Nothing happens just by expressing sympathy. The government will have to take some strict steps to stop such incidents.
Some time back there was Pahalgam attack which we all had not forgotten and now this incident has happened. It is very sad.

      2. True. Steps have to be taken but for commoners like us staying away from India : prayers and healing at least keeps us engaged positively towards our insaniyat dharam.
