A trip to Shirdi and Nasik was a satiating pilgrimage recently and I got to witness much more than I had anticipated.
In Nasik I was informed by the Chairlady of the women’s wing of ABSPP Padma that the Sindhis Worldwide are marking January 1st as International Bahirano Day and requested me for a Sindhi Poetry to help promote the occasion.
The Sindhiyat bug inside me couldn’t resist the temptation to go ahead and fulfill the request. I decided to mark the same in Nairobi as well and convinced members of the Society to do it as a collective effort.
Though we didn’t have much time left and with Christmas break we managed to have a very supportive Bahirano Day. Sharing below are some insights into the evening of January 1st celebrated at Shree Ram Mandir, Nairobi.
