LHSG 18th Anniversary Seva No. 2

Lotus Healing Seva Group is a group of worldwide Reiki healers with a mission to help all heal themselves and heal the world!

We have been engaged in this mission for many years, and November 2023 will see 18 years of this selfless giving by LHSG members. To mark this milestone, we will, as every year, apply ourselves to doing even more seva starting late September 2023 and continuing till early January 2024!

So here comes our seva No. 2. A Reiki level 1 training camp for 22 men and women, at the Hindu Council premises in Nairobi. As before, the training was done for 2.5 hours over 2 days, 16 and 23 September. All who learned were blown away by the new found healing power in their hands, and already reported very good changes in their chronic aches and pains, improved sleep, etc.

The training was conducted by me, Kamal Tolia, with the help of LHSG Kenya members Monica Gokaldas, Pratima Dutt, Karima Jiwa, Laxmi Velani, Pooja Patel, Sonal Patel, Bhavna Baga, Deepu Mahajan, and LHSG UK member Jashu Shah.

Our heartfelt gratitude to Sujata Kotumraju, Chairperson, The Hindu Council of Kenya, and Dr (Mrs) Shaina Shah,  Building at The hindu Council of Kenya, Nairobi Chapter, for all their support in organizing this training. Lotus Healing Seva Group is very, very grateful for all their help, without which this event would not have been possible. Many thanks also go to Monica Gokaldas who liaised with them behind the schenes,to ensure the smooth running of the event

On 16/09/23 we had the first part of Reiki level 1 training camp at the Hindu Council of Kenya, Nairobi.

27 people attended the training under the Capacity Building directorate of the Hindu Council. The training intended for senior citizens (60+) primarily also benefited as lightly younger age group and two officials of the council.

The teaching was conducted by Kamal Tolia and partly by myself, Monica Gokaldas assisted by the following volunteers:

Sonal Patel

Kirtikala Kamdar joined for the attunement from UAE.

The second part of the training was conducted on 23rd September. We had 22 people completing level 1 of training. Some people had to be denied entry due to coming in late hence they couldn’t complete the training.

Though I found some of the learners clueless to begin with, they soon turned out to be good healers as they practiced reiki on others.

On the whole a grateful day as it felt very satisfying to be able to reach out and empower the elderly into the healing discipline.
