The merciless killing of innocent civilians, the tourists in Pahalgam, Kashmir has stirred the sad strings of all Hindu hearts as the victims lost their lives because they were Hindus. Memories form an important role in each person's life. The memories of parents are hurting as well as pleasant but the memory of a parent's passing away never seem to fade away. The poem depicts the pain of a daughter reminiscing her father's death.
As per Hindu spiritual tradition a period of fifteen days is set aside for dedication towards ancestors where each family revisits the memories of family ancestors and performs various ritualistic activities.
