Reiki seva at Sikh Union (A Healer’s Diary)

An unexpected message from the chairlady of the Sikh Women’s Society informing of their forthcoming charity event in aid of the visually impaired turned out to be an invitation to showcase and market myself as a healer. I didn’t know what marketing meant as in my field I have been used to do Seva as my voluntary service of giving Reiki Therapy to those in need and this I have been doing for little over 26 years .

Anyway I accepted the invitation but not with the intention of marketing’ but to offer my services and fortunately I was supported by three other healers joining me. Together we achieved our goal of giving healing to several members of the society. We had no marketing material, we had no products to sell but we had our hands of healing and that was our power.

We were meant to give a talk on Reiki, but because of their schedule being delayed, we could not do that. But, we managed to spread awareness of Reiki giving Hands on healing to 10 people and talking about Reiki to a few others. I was assisted at this event by LHSG Kenya Members Pratima Dutt, Abhilasha Tak, Harleen Gokaldas and my daughter Bhavna who helped with the registration and taking out photos. Everyone who received healing went away very happy.
