Time and again incidents occur that make us think twice about religious hatred vs. amicability. The poem “New Religion” was composed back in the days when an incident inspired me to write it and once again the hostile situation between two nations following an ugly act of terrorism made me revisit this poem and felt like sharing it again.
I would love your opinion about it.

I would like to say: Everyone should learn about the importance of peace, tolerance, love, kindness. Rather than a new religion, a reformation should come in all the present religions and their teachings where if any teachings says to kill or hurt another being to attain salvation or to reach God, that should be stopped at all cost. No one should hurt another being in the name of God. Also with the time changing, religion should accommodate changes about dressing styles, people’s freedom, gender changes (LGBTQ++), etc. so that youngsters won’t go against religion. Everyone should give importance to moral values and parents should teach children these from young age.

Thank You Krishna for your comment. My opinion is similar to yours hence I call this as New Religion – a religion of peace and tolerance for other faiths and practices.
