Together for Better Foundation started off as a foundation aiming at the sanitary requirements and upkeep of the girl child in Kenya. Gradually the foundation under the able leadership of the One woman Army : Aruna Varsani grew into more members and executive members and took up more projects looking at the needs of the society that couldn’t escape Aruna’s eyes.
The expansion has witnessed care for the boy child as well as educational, sanitary, hygiene and dental care of children ranging from various borders of Kenya. Aruna and her team travel to the remote regions and oft times have conducted activities in conjunction with AMREF and /or with several other organizations as per the need and support at different times.
The Smallest Library project has seen the creation of smallest library grow into several libraries across the country and quench the thirst of knowledge of young Kenyans who had been deprived of books and other educational material.
The top product of the foundation : The Reusable Sanitary Pads has made life easier for many girls and women and saved their lives from the mishaps and untimely deaths in the forests where they were left secluded during periods. Aruna’s reaching out in the smaller towns and villages, in slum areas has proven quite a task but this mountain hiking strong woman has shown the world that wisdom and strength comes from within her heart.
