On 5th October we had a Reiki Talk and free healing for all session at the Raj Yoga Center, Nairobi.
The Brahma Kumaris have marked the 50th year of their existence in Africa on 2nd October 2023 when the Current All Africa BK Chairperson Sister Vedantiben first stepped foot in Africa.
The BK Africa have hence planned a year long celebration all over Africa and Nairobi being the Head branch of the organization they have planned 54 Thursdays of various activities at the center.

It is a privilege to both organizations BK and LHSG that we became the first ones to commence the trail of Thursday activities on their calendar here on . As Lotus Healing Seva Group we are celebrating our 18th Anniversary with a trail of seva activities and this seva is part of the same. I feel privileged to be the coordinator of this seva as I went through the planning, promoting, publishing and photographing the event.

We began the healing at 9.30a.m. To the in house BK sisters who had travelled from various parts of the African continent and perhaps from other parts too.
We had invited guests too who had willingly and excitedly attended the talk and healing session.
The sevaks for the day were:

1. Kamal Tolia who spoke about Reiki and it’s origins, effects and benefits and also answered various questions that were raised by people.

Most of the recipients felt very good. I started with giving reiki to a gentleman who actually didn’t need much healing and was quite fine. He felt very good with the healing.
An old woman whom I gave healing had a few issues and it took me time to give her healing.
In between I was also taking pictures and videos.
Sister Vedanti who was sitting at the back end of the room, called me and requested me to personally give her healing. She said she felt exhausted after having been busy for nearly 3 months organizing events towards the 50th anniversary at all the Africa centers.
She actually took a lot of healing and as I saw Bhavna had finished with the healing, I called her to join me so we could finish faster. Sr. Vedanti felt very good with the reiki energy and was very happy to know that we could send her distance healing as well. I will be putting down get request on the healing group.
As we were about to end the session a senior Sister, Sr. Pratibha’s mother came in and I gave her healing. Later I was joined by Bhavna and Karima in giving ‘Kaki’ healing.
Lastly Sr. Vedantiben gave a vote of thanks and led us all through a short meditation. Bhavna, Karima and I continued giving healing to Kaki as others went through the meditation. Kaki felt extremely good and energetic as opposed to the whole body pains before the session.

We had a volunteer amongst us who has very recently learnt reiki as part of the Vraj Ganga seva at Lohana Mahajan Mandal: Kirti and the moment she walked in Kamal Ji handed over a LHSG badge to her and there she was healing like all of us. Later she told me, she’s very happy that she herself and her daughter Monika are keeping up with the reiki seva at Vraj Ganga.

A big welcome to our dear Munira on the group. Munira who had been a past member was kindly invited by Karima and once she received healing, she didn’t need to be told to start healing others. That’s the beauty of being a healer- always a giver 💕🙌🏼

I had several friends whom I had invited including Dhruv from Asian Weekly to experience our healing. Three of them have told me they will come to me to learn reiki and one wishes to have a refresher class and re attunement. So I am looking forward to giving them training soon.
