Visiting the Old Age Home : (A healer’s dairy)
It was a very humbling experience and they were all very happy at receiving the Reiki energy. Shantiben, whom I gave healing seemed to be in lot of pain in her left arm and couldn’t even lift it. Old age though challenging can be liveable with comfort if one has companionship in the ripened years of life. This poem appreciates the life and spirit of an old couple who faced with difficulties of various sorts are happy being together.
The Old Age
Sitting in the lawn with unappreciative surround
Of the various shades of green that bound around
Reflecting their vacant thoughts of
God knows what within the mind frame.
Their pain, their agony of sullen loneliness
In this ripe age of less mobility and solitude.
