Teachings from Shrimad Bhagwad Puran : जीवन - मरण, लाभ - हानि, यश - अपयश ये सब ईश्वर की देन हैं । हम मनुष्यों का इन सब पर कोई असर नहीं है ।  हम केवल अपना कर्तव्य निभाते हुए हर कार्य करें और परिणाम ईश्वर पर छोड़ दें तो ही हम शांति मार्ग अपना सकते हैं ।  Life - Death, Gain - Loss, Fame - Disgrace these attributes are all in God’s hands. We mortals have no control over these. All we can do is to do our duty and leave the rest to Ishwara (God) and attain a peaceful living.

wonder how the worship of idols is termed as being ritualistic but worship of a book is not. In my perspective it is equally ritualistic.
