The Toast with a twist

A refreshing topping on the toast can turn the mundane Monday morning blues to a chirpy day.

It’s simple and quick to prepare once you have the ingredients handy at home.

Things Required:

  1. Two slices of Whole meal or Rye bread ( This can be altered by using a bagel or any other bread of choice)
  2. A cupful of canned Baked Beans
  3. One Hass Avocado (Sliced)
  4. Half teaspoon of olive oil
  5. Half teaspoon cumin seeds
  6. Salt and pepper mill
  7. Peri Peri powder or Indian Chat Masala Powder to taste

Preparation :

  1. Warm a small pan with olive oil
  2. Throw in the cumin seeds and let them splutter
  3. Pour in the required quantity of Baked Beans from the can onto the pan
  4. warm it up well whilst stirring
  5. Toast the slices of bread
  6. Place the slices of Avocado on the toasts
  7. Pour the warm Beans over the avocado
  8. Sprinkle the crushed salt , pepper and the condiment powder of choice
  9. (Optional) Throw in a pinch of fresh cilantro and enjoy the breakfast.
