The bangles clad in wrists praying

For spouses’ women in joyous swaying 

Sacred threads of the Rakhee8 tied

Brothers and sisters merrily unitedsikiladi

With kumkum9, akshat10 on third eye

Brothers vow to protect from evil eye 

Sisters bless their siblings in Bandhan 11

The festival charming and manbhavan 12

Sheetla Mataji13 too gets worshippedsikiladi

With prayers and cold food offered

She saves from wrath of diseases

Under her care the devotee pleasessikiladi

The swings divinely rock and rolling
