Free Level 1 Reiki Workshop for Breast Cancer Patients. (From the archives)
October every year is classed as Breast Cancer Awareness month in Kenya.
On October 15, The Lotus Heaing Seva Group held a Free Reiki Level 1 workshop at the Faraja Cancer Support Centre where they volunteer every week. The workshop was primarily for Cancer patients, their carers, families and friends, and the staff, therapists and volunteers at the centre, but it was also opened to house helps and friends of LHSG. They had come to learn Reiki because they had received a free Reiki treatment by LHSG a few weeks before at a presentation of the healing benefits of Reiki especially for cancer patients, and realized how good they felt after it.
A total of 32 people attended the workshop. The oldest was over 60 years and the youngest were three little girls, sisters, aged 6, 7 and 10 years!
All were attuned to the beautiful energy of Reiki and learned to heal themselves and others. So happy were they with their new found ability to heal, that many of them wanted to know about the next Level and when the workshop would be, and they proceeded to sign up for it right away!
LHSG has been giving Free Reiki L 1 workshops over the last 6 years. To date around 400 people have benefitted from this Seva and use Reiki in their lives!
The LHSG sevaks that did Seva on this day were Monica, Punita, Prafulla, Tejal, Ushma, ameeta, Varsha, Jean, Dee, Hardeep, Shobhna, Raj, Jaya and Kamal
